SAP Basis Administrators
Secure-24, Inc., a mission critical hosting provider headquartered in Southfield, Michigan, seeks 3 SAP Basis Administrators to optimize and maintain the SAP reliability, availability, and performance for corporate operations. Position requires strong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills with broad-based knowledge of the technical SAP environment and SAP technologies to include Business Intelligence, Supply Chain Management, and execution of SAP tuning strategies.
Duties:
Maintain and direct SAP application security; Administer the SAP database (plan and perform database upgrades, maintain physical database layout, perform database reorganizations, implement backup and restore strategy, maintain database security, manage database storage and database problem determination and resolution); Design, implement, and maintain SAP roles, profiles, and user assignments; Evaluate internal tool development and external vendor purchase for SAP security management; Integrate one SAP instance with other SAP instances or other non-SAP applications throughout remote function call (RFC) configuration and system landscape directory (SLD) Management; Perform SAP maintenance by applying hot packages and kernel upgrades through all systems using a structured methodology; Develop and maintain system documentation for all SAP instances and interfaces; Monitor SAP systems (work processes, users, system logs, short dumps, locks, developer traces, system traces, disk space, etc.); Provide support to other areas as required, to include 24/7 availability in high pressure situations and working with cross-functional teams.
Required:
Bachelor of Science degree in Technology, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or related field, plus 5 years experience in an IT administrator and / or programming position. Work experience must include SAP Basis Administration in an SAP environment; analysis and design of workflow and processes to support IT functions; integration of third-party applications with SAP. Must have two full years experience in SAP security administration and user provisioning; and automation of SAP security processes. Education or experience must include implementing and upgrading the multiple SAP instances that comprise complete SAP landscape including development, test, training, and production phases.
