Citrix Engineer
Secure-24 is seeking an experienced Citrix engineer with experience in architecture, implementations and support of mid to enterprise size environments. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 4 years of experience publishing applications and websites within a XenApp environment and 4 – 10 years experience working as a Microsoft Systems administrator. Experience should include working in mid to large deployments across multiple locations, must have background knowledge of networks when working in Citrix environments.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and maintain Citrix Secure Gateway and Web Interface Servers
- Design, implement and maintain Windows and Citrix thin client systems.
- Design implement and maintain XenApp and XenDesktop environments including terminal services.
- Responsible for maintaining customer applications that may require modifications to work in a client server environment
- Responsible for all tuning, monitoring and performance recommendations of the Citrix environment
- Provide 3rd level support where needed, including systems diagnostics, systems tuning, and template definitions.
- Establish procedures for application loading and Citrix connection configurations
- Responsible for all load testing of applications within the customer Citrix infrastructure
- Responsible for design and configuration of printing within the Citrix infrastructure
- Day to Day user access support
- Patching on Citrix Servers
- Package creation and deployment
- ICA client support
- Portal Management and builds
- User profile issue resolution
- Environment Documentation
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of active directory and Group Policy
- Extensive knowledge of Windows Server operating systems (Windows 2000, 2003, 2008), performance monitoring and tuning
- Understanding of Microsoft Exchange is preferred
- Strong understanding of Microsoft SQL is preferred
- Strong leadership skills to effectively mentor and lead junior level personnel
- Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills for design, creation and testing of complex systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organization skills to interact with customers to prioritize work, balance and lead complex projects
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong knowledge and understanding of VB scripting for use within a Citrix infrastructure
Education and Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science/information Systems or equivalent
- 4 – 10 years experience in managing Microsoft Systems in a 24×7 environment
- 2 – 4 years experience managing mid to enterprise Citrix XenApp or XenDesktop environment
- Citrix CCA certification or equivalent Microsoft Certification
